At the Movies – The Boy

Greta takes a job as a nanny for a young boy in an English village. Upon her arrival, she discovers that the child is actually a life-size doll that the parents have been using as a coping mechanism since the death of their eight-year-old son two decades earlier. After the initial shock wears off, Greta decides to stay and work for the couple, but when she breaks a few strictly enforced rules of their “son’s” care, she begins to suspect the toy may not be a doll at all.

Director: William Brent Bell. Cast: Lauren Cohan, Rupert Evans, Jim Norton, Diana Hardcastle, Javier Bo
