Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra

The state orchestra presents “Cervantes’ Spain.” Musical director Marco Parisotto takes the baton, and the soloists are William Molina Cestari (cello) and Jose Maria Gallardo del Rey (guitar). 

An excellent program features Richard Strauss’ “Don Quixote,” Rodrigo’s Aranjuez and de Falla’s The Three-cornered Hat.

Folk Dance

Aficionados of traditional folk dance will have multiple opportunities to enjoy a broad selection of colorful and emotional dances performed by the Ballet México Folklórico each Sunday in February.

Contemporary Sounds

Popular contemporary music sessions continue each Monday with Afrodisaicos playing lively merengue, reggae, funk, raggamuffin and cumbia on February 22, and indie group Technicolor Fabrics on February 29.

Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil

The Guadalajara Youth Orchestra (Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil de Guadalajara) celebrates its tenth anniversary with a gala concert at the regal Degollado Theater.  Works by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Revueltas will be included in the program.
