A multiplicity of Mustangs by the lake?

Mustang Club Guadalajara celebrated its 14th anniversary last weekend with displays of vehicles in the Colomos Park and Plaza de la Republica, as well as a “caravan” drive to Chapala on Sunday.

The Mustang Club brings together devotees of the Ford Mustang, which first saw the light of day in 1965. According to President Michael Harvey, the club meets each Friday at the Ford Country dealership in Guadalajara and has more than 100 members ranging in age from 16 to 85. The group also has more than 15,000 followers on Facebook.

Amid the festivities, a Ford representative presented the club with a certificate recognizing its endeavors.

After the drive to Chapala, members gathered at the Hotel Real, where they enjoyed lunch and swapped stories.
