Consulate lauds teaching institute

The U.S. Consulate in Guadalajara Wednesday held a celebration to honor Guadalajara’s Instituto Mexicano Norteamericano (IMN), an institution that has been teaching  English to Mexican citizens for 67 years.

During the ceremony, U.S. Consul Mark Seibel presented INM President Rafael Castellanos with a plaque recognizing the efforts made over the past six and a half decades. The U.S. State Department is working hard to push ahead with President Barack Obama’s 100,000 Strong in the America initiative to increase educational exchanges in the Western Hemisphere and strengthen U.S. relations with the countries of the Americas through student mobility.
