The 34 members of Banda Ajijic, the town’s youth brass band, have been practicing for several months. Now that the group is ready to perform, Director Rigoberto Segura has appealed to Ajijic Delegado Hector España for uniforms for the youngsters aged eight through 18.
España and Community Liaison Harry Bublin are launching an appeal for contributions in all sectors of the community. The amount needed to outfit the kids with boots, pants, shirt, jacket and hat is expected to total 4,000 dollars.

The website shows that ten area residents contributed 838 dollars in the first six days of the campaign.
