Concerned about the need for up-to-date respiratory ventilators in Chapala Red Cross ambulances, a local couple has offered to match, dollar for dollar, all new or increased donations to the Cruz Roja Chapala Red Cross charitable fund up to a total of US$5,000. With the matched donations, at least two portable respiratory ventilators would be purchased.
It’s easy to donate. Go to www.cruzrojachapala.com and click on “How to Help.” At the bottom of the page click on “Donate.” Select Capital Fund. Donations may be made via Pay Pal or credit card. They must be received by December 31. This U.S. 501 c (3) charitable organization and donations are t.ax deductible under U.S. and Canadian tax against U.S. taxable income. U.S dollar checks should be made payable to CRIVC,Inc. and cash will also be accepted by Cruz Roja board members Norm Pifer and Charlie Klestadt.
