Children’s regional dance in Zapopan

As part of the run up to El Día del Niño (Children’s Day) celebrated April 30, the Jalisco Culture Ministry is holding a special musical gathering of children from across Mexico.

The event, called “Alas por la tradición” (The Wings of Tradition) will feature children from various regions of the country performing the music and dance that is traditional to their state.

Dancers will come from Tamaulipas, Queretaro, Oaxaca, Merida and local groups from Tonala and Tlajomulco.

The event will take place at Plaza de Las Americas in Zapopan, April 22 at 7 p.m. No entrance fee will be charged.
