Chapala raises new flag

Scores of school kids joined local officials for the debut of a giant flag raised outside Chapala City Hall early Wednesday, February 24 to commemorate Mexico’s Día de la Bandera.

The brand new national banner measures eight by three meters, in proportion to the 15-meter tall flag pole where it will fly on all dates dictated by federal law.


Mobile unit issues driver’s licenses

Dozens of Chapala government employees lined up at the local police station Tuesday, February 16 to take advantage of a mobile unit set up by Jalisco’s Secretaria de Movilidad (Transportation Department) for the issuance driver’s permits.

Fleet-footed canines to show off their moves

Ajijic will be the site of the first official United States Dog Agility Association (USDAA) competition to be held in the state of Jalisco. This inaugural event takes place at the Hotel Perico on the Libramiento on Saturday February 27 and Sunday, February 28.
