With the inauguration of a brand new court house on Monday, February 15, Chapala looks set to lead the way in Jalisco’s effort to meet the summer deadline of implementing oral trials in Mexico. 

Mayor takes flak over Ajijic overhaul

Residents of Ajijic have a history of grousing about the town getting short shrift from the municipal government, but as long-awaited renovations in the central plaza picked up steam this week, some folks are taking issue with decisions coming out of Chapala City Hall.
