Leah Lajuan McPhail Draughon
Leah Lajuan McPhail Draughon died September 26 at her home in Ajijic with her beloved husband Jimmy by her side. She was 59 years old.
Draughon was born on August 25, 1955 in Mississippi. She met her future husband in December 1982 and the couple wed in July 1983.
Draughon and her husband became a successful team in the automobile business, working many years side by side.
After their retirement, they moved to Ajijic in January 1997.
Draughon was a talented artist, with a preference for working in pencil, watercolor and oil paints. She was also an avid animal lover. Any stray she came across had a home, either with her, or with someone she could talk into giving the animal a place to live.
She loved life and enjoyed the special relationship she had with her daughter Kristi, whom she lost in 2009.
Draughon is survived by her husband Jimmy of 30 years, grandsons Cole and Jake, her two dogs Mr. Bill and Gypsy and many friends and family.
