Marilyn C. Bowra
Marilyn C. Bowra died at her home in Chula Vista Friday, December 19, from an aggressive cancer following several months of medical conditions. She was 84.
Bowra was born April 16, 1930 in Kansas City, Kansas. After graduating from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, she attended Kansas City College (now the University of Missouri at Kansas City) for two years.
Bowra worked in various capacities at Business Mens Assurance Company Of America in Kansas City, Missouri for a number of years.
On her husband’s retirement in 1991, she moved to Mexico, first to Manzanillo and then to Ajijic in 2002.
Bowra enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was a member and past president of the Lakeside Garden Guild.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ron Bowra; daughters Cathy Harriman and Susan Waldron; stepsons, Steven, Garrick, and David Bowra; stepdaughter, Cyndy Grimes; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
