The holidays are quickly approaching. To help make your holiday a little bit brighter – and shopping for friends, family and neighbors a little easier – our team has compiled a list of holiday events and creative gifts ideas that give back to the community.

Xmas stocking campaign

This year’s Christmas Stocking Campaign will benefit KinderAide. All school supplies and stuffed animals collected between December 3 and 19 will be wrapped and distributed by Santa and his elves at the Navidad fiestas at needy local kinder schools in the Jaltemba Bay area.

Dickens Christmas feast

This special Christmas dinner will be held December 16 at the) Xaltemba Restaurant in La Peñita. It will support the Los Amigos de Jaltemba scholarship program. A 300-peso minimum donation is requested.

Coffee mugs

Proceeds from limited-edition coffee mugs will support Jaltemba Equine Education Project (J.E.E.P.) in La Peñita. Choose black, yellow, orange or navy blue. They can be purchased at the J.E.E.P. booth at the Tianguis market on Thursdays or at the Hilltop Refugio. Price: 100 pesos each. Don’t drink coffee? The festival is organized by Hotel Cielo Rojo and Bistro Organico in San Pancho and their new Sayulita Wine Shop. For more information email: This email address is being protected from spambots.
