Pavilion explores the struggles of those without sight

Ever wondered what it’s like to live without the ability to see?  The Nupali A.C. charity is giving people the opportunity to find out at a special pavilion it has erected in the Plaza de la Liberacion in the center of Guadalajara.

Armed only with a white cane, blindfolded participants complete any of three different circuits that contain the kind of obstacles blind people have to cope with on an everyday basis.

Among the obstacles they negotiate are steps, garbage containers, cobblestones, door handles, and even dog poop. All those taking the challenge are carefully monitored to ensure no one gets hurt.

Open throughout July. Closed on Mondays. No charge.
