Tech congress snags big investments

Up to 100 million dollars’ worth of business is “certain” to have come Jalisco’s way during the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT), the state’s Innovation, Science and Technology Secretary Jaime Reyes Robles announced this week.

Some 200 business representatives participated in over 1,000 meetings during the three-day event, held earlier this week at Expo Guadalajara, he said Thursday.

Reyes Robles did not go into specific details but hinted that a U.S.-Canada partnership has inked a deal to make a film in San Sebastián del Oeste, and a co-partnership between a Canadian and Jalisco company could be worth as much as 25 million dollars.
