Presidential debate schedule

The three U.S. presidential and one vice presidential debates will run from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Central, and take place on the following dates:

Monday, September 26: First presidential debate in Hempstead, New York, at Hofstra University, moderated by NBC’s Nightly News anchor Lester Holt.

Tuesday, October 4: Vice presidential debate in Farmville, Virginia, at Longwood University, moderated by CBS News correspondent Elaine Quijano.

Sunday, October 9: Second presidential debate in St. Louis, Missouri, at Washington University, moderated by ABC News’ Martha Raddatz and CNN’s Anderson Cooper (this debate will be in a “town meeting” format, in which questions will be posed by undecided voters in the audience).

Wednesday, October 19: Third presidential debate in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the University of Nevada, moderated by Fox News’ Chris Wallace.

The final debate will take place two weeks and six days before Election Day (Tuesday, November 8).
