Senior Jalisco athletes head for France

Jalisco Governor Artistoteles Sandoval Diaz and his wife Lorena Jassibe Arriaga, honorary president of the Family Development Agency (DIF), greeted 21 older Jalisco athletes who are part of the Mexican delegation competing in the XXI World Masters Athletics Championships in Lyon, France from August 4 to 16.

DIF Jalisco has budgeted 485,000 pesos for airfares and lodging for eleven of the athletes. In total, 123 Mexican athletes will participate in the competition.

Jalisco athletes won 14 medals in the XX Championships held in Porto Alegre, Brazil in 2013.
