In a meticulously planned operation on August 18, 140 tons of various kinds of narcotics were incinerated at exactly the same time in nine Mexican states.
The Jalisco stash, consisting of 753 kilos of marijuana, went up in flames at the shooting range in the Venta del Astillero neighborhood on the outskirts of Guadalajara, under the watchful eye of soldiers and federal police officers.
