Some 60 businesses in Jalisco offered a record number of jobs – 2,300 – with salaries ranging from 4,000 to 15,000 pesos.

This state provided 20 percent of the 12,000 job on offer nationwide, noted state Labor Secretary Hector Pizano Ramos.

Pizano said his department had set up a special team to identify the work potential of each applicant and direct him/her to a possible employer.
