Good news for travelers

Immigration officials stationed at the Guadalajara international airport have streamlined services to passengers, reports Ajijic beauty salon proprietor Yolanda Martínez.

Returning from a recent trip to Chicago, she chatted up around two dozen other incoming passengers as they lined up for entry to the country. All agreed that the requisite document checks were handled like clockwork.

“Many experienced travelers told me they recalled having to stand in line for as long as an hour to get through the process. This time we breezed right through in under ten minutes, Martínez says. “I want to personally thank regional INM chief Ricardo Vera Lira for all he has done to improve the efficiency of his airport staff and make arrival to Guadalajara so pleasantly easy.”
