July 26: Kids art show after weeklong camp

The Lake Chapala Society (LCS) Children’s Art Program kicks off its annual Children’s Art Camp on Monday, July 21. More than 100 children from Ajijic and the surrounding area will learn to create pieces of art in a variety of media during the week.

Local artists will also participate as instructors to guide the budding artists. On Saturday,July 26 there will be an Art Open House on the LCS grounds to showcase and sell the work of the students. The proceeds from the sales are split with half going to the young artists and the remaining half going into the kitty to continue to support the purchase of materials for the Children’s Art Program.

Volunteers are still needed to assist at the art camp. If you can help, email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
