AeroMexico to launch new budget airline service

In a bid to compete with budget airliners Volaris and Interjet, AeroMexico will launch a new low-cost service dubbed “AeroMexico Contigo” out of Guadalajara Airport from October 1.
The service is aimed primarily at passengers flying from Mexico to the United States and Canada, with 14 weekly flights to Los Angeles, six to Ontario, four to Chicago and three each to Fresno and Sacramento. Domestically, AeroMexico will introduce an additional 28 weekly flights from Guadalajara to Tijuana and 14 to Culiacan, Sinaloa as part of its new service.
