International carnival to unfold on Tlaquepaque streets this weekend

Tlaquepaque is certainly worth a visit this weekend as the second Festival Internacional de Música de Calle (International Street Music Festival) takes over the charming Guadalajara crafts suburb. 

Organizers have planned an ambitious 140 performances by some 50 individual artists and groups, showcasing all manner of artistic endeavors, including theater, music, dance, circus arts and more.  

Countries represented will be Mexico, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Israel, Russia, Denmark, Spain and France.
You can catch performances every hour at four locations between noon and 10 p.m. daily during the four days of the festival, from Thursday, November 20 through Sunday, November 23.  All performances are free of charge.

The four forums are all located in Tlaquepaque Centro and within easy walking distance of each other. They are the Plaza de Artes (Independencia and Cruz Verde), the Centro Cultural El Refugio (Donato Guerra 160), the Jardin Hidaglo, and the explanade of the Santuario Church.
