Cirque returns to city with ‘Corteo’

The magic of Canadian-based circus arts troupe Cirque du Soleil returns to Guadalajara from July 30 to August 16.

The troupe employs talented performers from all over the world who will interpret the show “Corteo” in a big tent to be erected at the show ground on Avenida Lopez Mateos, corner of Cubilete.

“Corteo” debuted in Montreal in 2005 and has subsequently been seen by eight million people in 19 countries. Meaning “cortege” in Italian, “Corteo” is a joyous procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown. The show combines the passion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth.

Tickets went on sale to the general public on June 11 through Ticketmaster and at www.cirquedusoleil.com/corte. The cost ranges from 800 pesos to 3,400 pesos for VIP seating.
