Weekend music options in Ajijic

A multitude of options exist for enjoying live music at area restaurants and bars Saturday and Sunday, March 5 and 6. Here are a few of our favorites:

Adelita’s Bar & Grill in San Antonio features Blue Jay Slim and The Blue Machine, including Sergio Casas on bass, Chelo González on drums and Richard Underhill on sax along with another special guest, Saturday, beginning 8:30 p.m.

Mike and the Suspects are at The Iron Horse from 8:30 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday, Daniel Cordero “unplugged” plays from 3-7 p.m. The Iron Horse is located across from Mom’s Restaurant and the Maskaras Clinic. 

La Catrina, Son Jarocho plays traditional music from Veracruz, 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Bistro. On Sunday the Distu Guys Jazz Duet features Gil Rios on bass and Alvaro Medeles on guitar. Bistro is located at Ocampo 71 in Ajijic.

El Bar-co in Ajijic presents Kenny y los Eléctricos. Pre-sale tickets are 100 pesos or 150 at the door. The club is on the Carretera just west of the Pemex in Ajijic.
