LCS Art Camp ends

The week-long summer Art Camp that finished up with a successful sale of the children’s art last Saturday at the Lake Chapala Society allowed 125 local children to create and innovate under the tutorship of 55 volunteer artists and the help of 15 parents.

There were nine workshops run by local artists: Acrylics with Javier Zaragoza; watercolor with Dan Williams; drawing with Rodrigo Zuloaga; daily projects (drawing and painting for kids aged 6 to 8) with Jesús López Vega; collage with  Janey Marquez; fabric crafting with Cyndi Bosch; kids 5 and under with Lori Polanco and Lupita Fernández de la Torre; papier maché with Dana Douin and jewelry with Barbara Passarello and Bobby Lancaster.

Margaret Larson generously provided a daily snack for all the children at the end of each day.

On Saturday, July 30 each child who participated in Art Camp will receive a certificate of merit.  Those who sold their artwork/projects will also be paid.
