All Night Jazz Quartet is positioned to play a return engagement at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 at La Rueda, the popular San Juan Cosalá coffee house and gallery at Porfirio Diaz 120.
Members of the quartet include Marie Claire Figadere, vocals; Miguel Soto, drums; Gilberto Rios, bass and Alvaro Martinez Medeles, guitar.
This popular young group plays a mature selection of jazz and blues-related genres including jazz standards, swing, blues, bossa nova, smooth lounge jazz, Dixieland, and funky jazz. Their varied repertoire is a hit with fans of both old-style jazz and the new, cutting edge versions.
Gypsy night
La Vita Bella, Soul Spa Hotel, hosts a gypsy night on Saturday, May 31, 6 p.m. Everyone must come dressed as a gypsy.
There will be live music and a DJ. There is a 250-peso cover charge.
