The Naked Stage

“Dangerous Corners,” written by J.B. Priestly and directed by Michael Warren, is the Reader’s Theatre’s next production.

The mystery is presented on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 27, 28 and 29.

“Dangerous Corner” is one of Priestley’s most popular plays. The idea is that life is full of dangerous corners –small, almost trivial, events which can lead to disastrous consequences. The truth can be hard to live with – perhaps the characters would be happier with their illusions. The author furnishes us with an ingenious situation, a clever resolution and an unexpected twist at the play’s climax.

The Naked Stage Theatre is located at Hidalgo 261 in Riberas del Pilar. Box office opens 3:15 p.m. and the show begins at 4 p.m.

The Dog House bar serves up cocktails, beer and soft drinks and benefits local animal shelters.

LLT Playhouse series

The Lakeside Little Theatre (LLT) offers a special HD screening presentation via its affiliation with London’s Royal Opera House and National Theatre of “Giselle,” Saturday and Sunday, May 28 and 29.

The greatest of all romantic ballets, Marius Petipas’ classic is a tale of betrayal, the supernatural and love that transcends death. It is produced by Peter Wright with music by Adolphe Adam.

Show times are Saturday, 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, 3 p.m. Tickets, at 200 pesos, are available at the LLT box office Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to noon, or one hour before curtain.

Seats can be reserved at time of purchase. The Angel Terrace Bar is open one hour before show time and during intermission.

The choir will sing a cappella and accompanied by piano, percussion, flute and ukulele.

The Antigua Presidencia is at the corner of Hidalgo and Madero in Chapala.
