Taking care of yourself – LCS Health Fair is here to help you

Plans are complete for a comprehensive two-day Health Fair at the Lake Chapala Society on Wednesday, October 8 and Thursday, October 9. A series of health events will take place from 9 a.m. to noon each day on the organization’s campus at 16 de Septiembre in Ajijic.

While some of the procedures, including skin cancer screening, require previous sign up, members can walk in to others. This is a great opportunity for area residents to be screened for diabetes, blood pressure, hearing, eyesight and to have lab tests to screen for prostate or ovarian cancer and to check cholesterol levels. In addition, participants can have a consultation to be certain that none of their current medications and supplements are counter-indicated. Both flu shots and the lifetime pneumonia vaccine will be available during the fair.

Note the schedules for each day as well as the minimal fees charged for some of the procedures in this listing of events.
