The couple came from Portland, Oregon to put down roots in a charming abode built on the grounds of lakeside’s innovative cohousing community on the outskirts of San Juan Cosala.
Attracted by the area’s culture, people, climate and natural surroundings, working artist Stephenson says, “I couldn´t see us fitting in to an isolated gated housing complex or village setting.” The cohousing concept of living in a private home set in a true community atmosphere that emphasizes green values, healthful lifestyles, collective management and shared experiences, suits him perfectly.
