Weekly Worship - March 26, 2016

Lakeside Presbyterian

No Christian holiday is more important than Easter, because no event in human history is more important than the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday morning, says Pastor Ross Arnold of Lakeside Presbyterian Church.

This Easter Sunday, March 27, Pastor Ross will help the congregation understand the significance of this critical event to every person who has ever lived – in his sermon, “On the Third Day.”

Lakeside Presbyterian Church is meeting in their new church building in Riberas – turn towards the lake at Mom’s Restaurant; the church is two blocks down on the right. English-language services at 10 a.m. and Spanish-language services at noon.

Unitarians

Helen White examines how we are not limited by what is intolerable, but inspired by what is possible. The title of her address is “The Victory of Love,” Sunday, March 27, at the Lake Chapala Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Service leader is Bill White.

The Unitarians have moved. They now meet 10:30 a.m. at Hidalgo 261 in Riberas del Pilar (opposite the bell tower, on the north side of the Carretera).

This will be the third year the choir has offered this program. All are invited to enjoy the music and the story of Jesus from birth to resurrection as told by common folks. This year’s musical direction is by Kina Dutro.”

The Lake Chapala Baptist Church is at Santa Margarita 179 in Riberas del Pilar.

On the last Sunday of each month, donations provide lunches for Mezcala schoolchildren. And every Sunday, the feeding program supported by St. Andrew’s welcomes weekly donations of non-perishable items, left in the baskets by the church doors.
