Track Hoe Boarding at the malecon

Want to watch – or even take part in – a wild, adrenaline packed activity that is taking the internet by storm?

This new craze is called Track Hoe Boarding and consists of being pulled around on a rope by a full-size excavator, while on a ski or wakeboard in up to a meter of water.  Sounds like fun, yes?

The excavator will be installed beside the Ajijic malecon on the edge of Lake Chapala from Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1.  Participants in this “extreme” activity are entitled to one 20-minute session, preceded by some expert instruction, for 1,100 pesos.  For details on how to sign-up and pay, visit the website of sponsors Outdoors Lifestyle in Mexico at olm-sports.com.  There will also be a VIP tent, food and drinks and vendors’ booths set up on the malecon.

Evening “after-party” fun takes place at Bar Co. in Ajijic, with the Cadavieco Blues Band on October 30, TallBoys Band on October 31 and Deja-Vu Classic Rock and Dj Jonas Mtz on November 1.
