Expo Ganadera 2016, Chapala’s third annual stock show, opens Friday, April 1 for a 10-day run featuring exhibitions of horses, cattle and other farm animals, live entertainment and plenty of family-oriented activity. 

In addition to ambitious plans for turning Chapala into a vibrant tourist mecca, the municipal government is looking for state funding for infrastructure projects that will enhance the area’s appeal as a haven for retirees.
