Canadian province Alberta pitched as prime study abroad destination

Ignacio Meza, director of the Alberta Education Centre in Guadalajara, visited the campus of Chapala’s Instituto Tecnológico Superior last week to introduce a wide range of study abroad opportunities that are open to Mexican students.

Stressing that the province of Alberta and the state of Jalisco have developed strong bonds for cooperation in education, research and technological advances, Meza outlined options for college degree programs, post-graduate studies and specialty courses offered at 26 institutions of higher learning located throughout the province. He pointed to NAIT Polytechnic in Edmonton and SAIT Polytechnic in Calgary as schools that would be good fits for ITS exchange students and post-grad candidates.
