Auditorium reopens with free gala concert

The doors of Ajijic’s iconic Auditorio de la Ribera del Lago will be thrown open on Friday, February 15 after months of renovation.

Appearing at a gala concert to celebrate the reopening of the performance space will be the CREM orchestra, Los Cantantes del Lago, the Ajijic Ballet School and the Ballet Folklorico of Ixtlahuacan.
Jalisco Culture Secretary Alejandro Cravioto will be a guest of honor at the event thrown by the Pro-Auditorio Committee.
The purpose of the gala is to thank all the generous people who donated their money, time and effort to the fundraising project. The local community raised one million pesos    one-third of the three-million-peso cost of the renovation project.
Entrance will be free with a ticket.
The concert starts at 4 p.m.
Everyone, especially those who donated money and time to the project, are invited to pick up tickets at the Auditorio or at Diane Pearl’s Colecciones.
