Mexican jazz drummer Antonio Sanchez headlines the next Jazz at Lincoln Center concert sponsored by the University of Guadalajara. Sanchez composed the original music for “Birdman,” last year’s winner of the Oscar for Best Picture. Sanchez has toured with Dizzy Gillespie’s United Nations Orchestra, been part of the Pat Metheny Group and recorded three well-received solo albums. He has lived in New York since 1999.
