Lake Chapala Society books meeting with traffic authorities

“Taking the Bite Out of Transito” is the working title for the first in a series of members-only meetings being organized by the Lake Chapala Society (LCS) to address topics of common interest to lakeside’s expatriate community.

Chapala area traffic police commandant Alberto Alvarez Ahumada and a superior official from the state level have been invited as guest speakers for Friday, June 14, 2 p.m. They will discuss matters concerning the content and enforcement of Jalisco traffic laws, providing answers to prepared questions about police procedures involved when drivers are pulled over for violations.

Subjects under consideration for future sessions in the LCS Town Topics series include permanent importation of foreign-plated vehicles and the process and value of drawing up a Mexican will.
