Ajijic B&Bs shine

It’s an exciting time for two of Ajijic’s top B&B’s.

In the 2014 Tripadvisor Awards, Casa de las Flores (www.casafloresajijic.com) and Quinta del Sol (www.quintadelsolinn.com) placed in the top 20 B&B’s in all of Mexico.

Casa de las Flores, owned by Steve Cross and Fernando Gomez, placed second nationwide, while Quinta del Sol, owned by Eleanor Feeney and Rick Standing, placed 16th in the nationwide customer satisfaction reviews.  This is all the more prestigious as the reviews are submitted by guests who have experienced first-hand the hospitality offered by both establishments.

The two B&B’s are involved extensively in charity work. The owners of Casa de las Flores are the current presidents of the Lakeside School for Children with Special Needs and also organize food deliveries to the Villa Infantil orphanage.

For six years Feeney of Quinta del Sol has distributed piggy banks throughout the community; collecting them before Christmas to help the kids at the Love in Action shelter. These donations go directly to the kids as a Christmas treat.

When contacted, both proprietors expressed delight in being recognized, not only locally, but now also at a national level for their service-based establishments.
