The residents of the Guadalajara Zoo are tempering their exertions this month as the higher temperatures kick in. But they will be asked to parade themselves in the sun for two extra days next week, as the zoo opens on Monday and Tuesday (usually closed on these days) in honor of Children’s Day.
At no extra cost, the zoo will provide some special events to celebrate El Dia del Niño, from Saturday, April 27 through Wednesday, May 1. Aside from all the usual attractions, the zoo will have a team of clowns, acrobats and jugglers on hand to keep the kids entertained, with regular shows planned during all five days. Located at Paseo del Zoologico 600, Huentitan El Alto (a block north of the city’s northern periferico on the Calzada Independencia), the zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
