Swedish multinational retail-clothing company H&M is to open its first store in Guadalajara in the Plaza Galerias.
Operating since 1947, the chain has 2,800 branches in 48 countries and is the second biggest retail clothing company in the world with more than 95,000 employees.
According to a company spokesperson, the Guadalajara store will be even bigger than its branch on Fifth Avenue in New York.
The opening at the Plaza Galerias is set for the autumn.
In addition, the U.S. clothing and accessories retailer American Eagle Outfitters will also open a store in Plaza Galerias later in the year. Their first Mexican store opened in Mexico City’s Perisur Mall in February.
