Downtown Guadalajara business leaders have asked Mayor Ramiro Hernandez to get tough on prostitutes who they say are affecting their livelihoods.
In particular, restaurant owners on Prisciliano Sanchez and Donato Guerra say police officers turn a blind eye to the prostitutes who fill the streets after dusk on the prowl for clients.
