The Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra (JPO) presents two end-of-summer concerts under the baton of exciting new musical director Alondra de la Parra.
The “Sonidos de Fuego” (Sounds of Fire) program begins with Arturo Marquez’s “Leyenda de Milano”, Federico Ibarra’s “Las antesalas del sueños” (Ibarra), and Astor Piazzola’s “Tangazo. ” Jose Pablo Moncayo’s much-loved “Huapango.” The second half features Igor Stravinsky’s “The Firebird” and Jose Pablo Moncayo’s much-loved and played “Huapango.”
Teatro Degollado, Friday, September 21, 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, September 23, 12:30 p.m. 100-250 pesos.
