Cantinflas casting uproar

Fans of Cantinflas (Mario Moreno, 1911-1993) have taken to social media to protest the casting of Spanish actor Oscar Jaenada to play the part of the Mexican movie great in a new feature film that begins shooting next week.
Critics say if an Irishman can interpret Abraham Lincoln, a Welshman Richard Nixon and an American Margaret Thatcher, why not a Spaniard Cantinflas?
