Last Thursday thieves stole the cables used to illuminate Guadalajara’s iconic Minerva statue at night.
The lighting was repaired by Monday, said Alberto Arreola, the Director of Public Lighting, who revealed that this has become such a problem that the present municipal administration has already had to replace 20,000 meters of stolen cables in total.
