St. Andrew’s Anglican

The Seventh Sunday of Easter has always been a difficult one.  It follows the spooky, mysterious Ascension of the resurrected Jesus, an event which the earliest believers had trouble dealing with.  Jesus had been alive, then dead, then alive again and with them.  Now, 40 days later, He was gone again!  What were they to do now?  What do we modern believers do when we feel that same sense of absence or even abandonment by God?  This week’s sermon at St. Andrew’s, “On Our Own,” tries to come to terms with that very real, and still contemporary, spiritual crisis.  The Sunday worship begins at 10 a.m. and concludes with a time of welcome, refreshment, and fellowship in the garden.

The Church is located at Calle San Lucas 19, just a block south of the Carretera in Riberas del Pilar.

Center for Spiritual Living

Friday, May 17, at the regular weekly service from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Nicolas Bravo 17 in Ajijic, Reverend Tim Schubert will present “Why Suffer?” Classes continue from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays for “The Basics of Spiritual Living,” and on Thursdays, “The Experience of God.”

Sunday, May 19, 4 p.m., the Center’s “Third Sunday Movie” will be “Peaceful Warrior.”  All are welcome to join in any or all activities.  For more information, contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call 766-0920.{/access}
